In observance of Earth Day, True Food Kitchen is encouraging guests to “Drink to Planet Earth.” True Food Kitchen, in partnership with ixa organic tequila, has committed to planting one tree for every Citrus Skinny Margarita sold at every True Food Kitchen nationwide on Earth Day. To make it easier to ‘go green’ without spending lots of ‘green,’ True Food Kitchen will feature its Citrus Skinny Margarita for $8 (regularly $11) all day long on Sat., April 22. Greenbar Craft Distillery, makers of the ixa organic tequila used to craft True Food’s famed Citrus Skinny Margarita, work with True Food year round to honor their commitment to sustainability and the environment by planting one tree for each bottle of ixa tequila sold. Greenbar plants these trees in the rainforests of Central America, which not only provide carbon sinks, but also shade for fair trade crops like coffee and cacao so local farmers can better feed their families. To date, more than 16,000 trees have been planted as a result of this partnership.

Flower Child’s fundamental promise is to serve healthy food for a happy world. For a true flower child, every day is Earth Day, but on Saturday, April 22, Flower Child is making a difference by donating 100% of proceeds from the Mother Earth bowl to support The Girl Scouts Urban Garden project, a local initiative.
