Bite Magazine has announced the curators of its popular Bite Box program, which showcases goods made by Arizona makers. Kicking off the 2017 schedule is Aaron Chamberlin of Phoenix Public Market Café, St. Francis and the soon-to-open Tempe Public Market Café. Chefs Stephen Jones (Desoto Central Market, Larder + The Delta) and Country Velador (Cowboy Ciao, Super Chunk Sweets & Treats) will also curate their own boxes this year.
Each quarter, Bite Magazine asks a notable local to fill a Bite Box with 8-10 of their favorite Arizona-made products. These aren’t just mini-sized teases of local items. Instead, they’re everything from hearty loaves of bread and big bottles of barbecue sauce, to T-shirts, tote bags, and home décor items—everything designed for you and your friends to enjoy the best Arizona has to offer.
“Our curators are on the forefront of Arizona’s makers community,” said Michelle Jacoby, publisher and editor-in-chief of Bite Magazine. “The Bite Box is a way for them to share their discoveries of amazing local products with us and our readers.”
The 2017 Bite Box curators are:
- Spring Edition: Aaron Chamberlin
- Summer Edition: Stephen Jones
- Fall Edition: Country Velador
- Winter Edition: Editor’s Holiday Picks
Each Bite Box consists of 8-10 full sized portions of locally made foods and products. Cost is $65 (plus tax) for a single edition or $240 (plus tax) for an annual subscription of all four editions.
