Aloha! Can you believe we are already on our last Tiki Bird? Our final Tiki Drink for the Enchanted Tiki Room’s 54th Anniversary is based on the French parrot, Pierre! Unlike our recipes for Jose, Michael, and Fritz, Pierre’s Whistle has no rum! This makes it a fun and different type of tiki drink!
Unlike the other voice actors in the Enchanted Tiki Room, the voice of Pierre is considerably less famous. The blue, white, and red parrot was voiced by Ernie Newton. Ernie Newton did a few projects between 1943 and 1964. However, most were uncredited. Fortunately, he is immortalized as Pierre in the Enchanted Tiki Room.
As we mentioned before this is the only drink in our Enchanted Tiki Room Tiki Drink series to not use rum. Instead, we focused on the French spirits St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur and St. Remy VSOP Brandy. Using a French style gin like Esme added more floral notes to the cocktail. For the fruit juice component we used Finest Call Passion Fruit Puree Mix. We loved the tartness that the passion fruit puree provided. This is the perfect Tiki Drink for someone who might not be a fan of rum but still wants the Tiki experience.
We hope you enjoy Pierre’s Whistle! Tomorrow we will be rounding up all four recipes and sharing sometime tips for throwing your own tiki party! Be sure to check back! Cheers!
