Thanksgiving is about family and friends, expressing gratitude, a shared meal, and sometimes…stress!
Chef Justin Beckett wants to help families not only survive but thrive this holiday season by offering some tips, tricks and recipes to holiday home chefs.
Starting November 10th, Chef Beckett will post some tips and recipes for his favorite holiday dishes on Facebook (facebook.com/SouthernRailAZ) and Instagram (@southernrailaz). Home cooks can impress their guests on the big day with dishes like Chef Beckett’s famous brussels sprouts and his Ultimate Leftover Sandwich.
Then on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Chef will be taking to Twitter (@ChefBeckettAZ) to answer Turkey Day culinary questions like, “How do I save my lumpy mashed potatoes?” or “Why isn’t my turkey skin crispy?”
Once the big day is over, Southern Rail steps in to help with the recovery with three days of relaxed southern style brunch, starting on Black Friday and continuing through the weekend (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.). Home cooks can get out of the kitchen, impress those out-of town guests with the awesome Arizona weather on the Southern Rail patio, and best of all, no cleaning-up!

About Southern Rail
Chef Beckett ’s second restaurant, Southern Rail, focuses on home style Southern cooking that brings family and community together. The vibrant restaurant offers Chef Beckett’s inspired interpretations of the diverse flavors of the American South; from the “low-country” cooking of the coastal Carolinas to the famous Cajun and Creole fare of New Orleans, and the slow-smoke barbecue of south Texas. A robust American beverage program, overseen by owners and sommeliers Scott and Katie Stephens, and touches of the South’s well-known style of hospitality complement the Southern Rail menu.
