Happy Friday! We have another fun horror movie-inspired recipe that’s perfect for the fall season! We’ve always wanted to do a recipe inspired by Trick ‘R Treat and now felt like the right time. We are excited to share our latest recipe for Sam’s Cider, a mocktail that is sure to impress whether you make it for others or for yourself!
In Trick ‘R Treat, “interwoven stories demonstrate that some traditions are best not forgotten as the residents (Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Dylan Baker) of a small town face real ghosts and goblins on Halloween. Tales of terror reveal the consequences of extinguishing a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight and a grumpy hermit’s encounter with a sinister trick-or-treater.”
The inspiration for our Sam’s Cider mocktail came from a few places. First, we had several requests for seasonal mocktails. We’ve done a ton of horror cocktails, but not many non-alcoholic replacements for them. This was one of the perfect places for that because Trick ‘r Treat‘s Sam is in a child’s form despite being centuries old. This meant that our recipe should be child-friendly as well. Last but certainly not least, we were asked by a lot of our readers to create a recipe for this film. It was long overdue.
We hope you enjoy our recipe for Sam’s Cider! We hope to do more mocktails in the future since they have been so widely requested! What are your plans for this Halloween? We are planning on doing a movie marathon at home, and you can bet we will be making some of our recipes. With Halloween just around the corner, there is still a bit of time for new recipes. Let us know in the comments below what movies you’d like to see recipes for!
