Happy February! It’s the month of love and a bit since our last recipe so we thought we’d make a comeback with a fun horror movie-inspired recipe that is also perfect for a spooky Valentine’s Day or Valoween! We are so stoked to share our Frankenpops inspired by Lisa Frankenstein! Read on to get the recipe and info on how to see the movie early!
In Lisa Frankenstein, “in 1989, a misunderstood teenager has a high school crush — who just happens to be a handsome corpse! After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness…and a few missing body parts along the way.”
When we came up with this recipe we looked for inspiration that wasn’t baked. There are tons of cute decorated baked items out there that are better than just about anything we’d come up with. Therefore, we decided a fun Valentine’s Day treat would be Frankenpops! These are so easy to whip up and only use a few ingredients! What’s also fun is that you can play with the colors as you see fit!
We hope you try out our Frankenpops and think they are as rad as we do! If you want to see Lisa Frankenstein early, head over to our Facebook page to enter our giveaway for VIP advanced screening passes to the showing on February 5th, 2024. As a bonus entry, tell us your favorite romantic horror movie in the comments below! Lisa Frankenstein hit theaters on 2/9.
Inspired by Lisa Frankenstein, The Geeks have created a new recipe for Frankenpops. This fun recipe has all the neon vibes of the film!
Ingredients
- Bright Pink Meltables
- Blue Meltables
- Freeze Dried Strawberries, crushed into smaller pieces
- Edible Ink Black Marker
- Silicone Lollipop Mold
- Lollipop Sticks
Instructions
- Place lollipop sticks in your lollipop mold.
- Prepare your meltables per package instructions.
- Pour meltables into your molds.
- While still soft, sprinkle crushed strawberries onto each pop.
- When they've fully hardened, remove from mold.
- Draw stitches onto each heart.
- Serve.
Notes
If you don't have a lollipop mold, you can use any silcone heart mold and omit the lollipop sticks.
Make sure to use freeze dried strawberries and not dehydrated ones. Freeze dried will crush down easier.
