Continuing on with our Halloween month fun, we have a new recipe inspired by one of our favorite 80s movies, Pumpkinhead. We were asked to create this cocktail by our friends at Horror Hut for their Scream Stream livestream. We tried to keep it simple for them by creating a cocktail but as you learn a bit later, we didn’t really make it easy. However, the resulting recipe for Haggis’ Brew is absolutely delicious and worth the effort in finding the ingredients.
In Pumpkinhead, “after his son is killed in a motorcycle accident, a farmer invokes the powerful demon Pumpkinhead in his quest for revenge in this horror film. He soon comes to regret his actions, however, and attempts to stop the demon, but he may already be too late.”
When we were asked to create this recipe for Pumpkinhead, we had already been toying with the idea of how to make a good pumpkin spice cocktail. Not one of those super sugary ones that is basically a boozy milkshake, but a real cocktail. In order to do this we decided to make the majority of the ingredients high end. By using Diplomatico, Plantation Rum, and AZ Bitters Lab, you definitely can taste the quality in this cocktail despite the fact that it uses pumpkin spice syrup.
We hope you love our recipe for Haggis’ Brew! Want to watch Pumpkinhead while you enjoy our cocktail? You can check here to find out where you can stream it or buy it! We have lots of great new recipes planned for this month so be sure to check back! We are also inching our way closer to 10k on Instagram so be sure to give us a follow there as well!
