Valentine’s Day is almost here! Despite being swamped with real-life stuff, we thought it would be fun (and necessary) to create a recipe for Joe Bob Puts a Spell on You premiering tonight on Shudder! While we aren’t 100% sure what the movie choices are going to be, we are guessing The Love Witch will be one of them because of the special guest, Anna Biller. Therefore, we are excited to share with you our recipe for Tea Love-wiches inspired by her film The Love Witch!
In the latest Last Drive-In special, Joe Bob Put a Spell on You, “get ready to sidestep cupid’s arrow, devour your pity chocolate, and discover the horror of Valentine’s Day with the world’s foremost drive-in movie-critic-turned-love-guru Joe Bob Briggs. Joe Bob, Darcy, and special guest Anna Biller (Viva, The Love Witch) will explore the lost art of romantic necromancy with a double-feature all about love, lust, and gore guaranteed to boost your heart rate!”
We decided to create our Tea Love-wiches because there are a few scenes in which the main character has tea. Everything in the tea room is varying shades of pink. We thought this would be the perfect inspiration for a Valentine’s Day recipe! These Love-wiches are more of a dessert tea sandwich as opposed to a savory one. They use pound cake instead of bread and are super easy to whip up last minute!
We hope you try out our Tea Love-Wiches recipe! Be sure to tune in to Shudder tonight, February 12th, to catch Joe Bob Puts a Spell on You! Also, let us know in the comments below what movies you think he’s going to show! Also, in case you didn’t see our social posts, Geeks Who Eat headquarters is moving! We just bought a new home so we will be posting a bit less until we are settled! However, have no fear because we will be back in full force soon and better than ever!
