For obvious reasons, we are still missing Disneyland. Since we already have visited Cars Land in recipe form, we thought creating a Galaxy’s Edge recipe would be fun! There is already a Galaxy’s Edge Cookbook (review coming soon) so we figured we’d recreate one of our favorite cocktails from Oga’s Cantina, the Yub Nub.
Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is “where bounty hunters, smugglers, rogue traders, and weary travelers of all ages come together to refuel, enjoy music, and conduct meetings—no questions asked. With an expansive menu of exotic concoctions for young ones and adults, the cantina is a welcome rest stop before your crew’s upcoming galactic journey.”
Thanks to the menu posted online, we knew what ingredients are used in the Yub Nub but we didn’t know the ratios. Based on what we know about making tiki cocktails we just came up with what would normally be used. We also substituted Malibu with Plantation Stiggins Pineapple because we like it better and it is a higher quality spirit. In the notes of the recipe below, we have also included a mocktail version of the Yub Nub so the whole family can enjoy an at-home trip to Oga’s Cantina.
We hope you give our version of the Yub Nub a try! If you want to add a little more Disney magic to your cocktail making, Disney Parks have put together a Spotify playlist of DJ R3X’s Cantina set. It really makes you feel like you are in Oga’s Cantina! Do you like these copycat recipes? What other park foods would you like to see? We have another copycat recipe in the works from Walt Disney World! So stay tuned!

To make this a virgin mocktail, combine pineapple juice, lime juice, and passion fruit syrup with club soda and serve shaken over crushed ice.

I have to tell you that a) I LOVE Disneyland, b) I LOVE Oga’s Cantina and c) I LOVE your Yub Nub recipe. I make it at least once a week (I double the ingredients to fit the Yub Nub tiki mugs) and it is DELICIOUS! It gets rave reviews at parties and is a big hit with my family. I made the initial mistake of using Passion Fruit Juice (waaaay too tart!) Once I switched to Passion Fruit Syrup (as the recipe suggests) it was perfect. Thank you for helping my bring a little of Oga’s home <3
Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoy it!
Hi, I wanted to ask, can you find a way to make it non-alcoholic? It would be brilliant if it was possible. Thanks in advance!
