It is no secret that we adore the films of The Conjuring Universe. We have done recipes for Annabelle: Creation, The Nun, and Curse of La Llorona. So when we heard there was going to be a 3rd Annabelle film we knew we had to create a recipe for it. We’re excited to share our Annabelle Comes Home inspired recipe for Spirit Soothing Cider as well as an awesome giveaway!
In Annabelle Comes Home, the third Annabelle installment, “determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.”
With The Conjuring Universe being based around the experiences of Ed and Lorraine Warren, we decided to take inspiration from their home state of Connecticut. Apple cider is a fairly prominent beverage in the area. We combined cider with chamomile tea since chamomile is a tea that tends to be used for relaxation. We figured a calming beverage after a scary movie seemed like a perfect fit. This drink is easy to make and delicious!
You might need to try this Spirit Soothing Cider after seeing the movie that inspired it! We are giving away 10 pairs of VIP Advanced Screening Passes to an advanced showing of Annabelle Comes Home! The showing will be held at Harkins Tempe Marketplace on Wednesday, June 19th. The screening starts at 7 pm and the winners should arrive at 6:15 in order to guarantee their seating. Winners will be selected on Monday, June 17th. Good luck!
